İCDAS will support the diggings of Troy ancient city, Assoss ancient city, Apollon Smintheion holy area, Parion anciet city and Alexandria Troas ancient city.
İçdaş will support the ongoing diggings of 5 important ancient cities – under the authority and control of Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Museums and Cultural goods- that are revealed in Çanakkale which has an important place between Anatolia’s culture centres.
The head of Troy ancient city digging Prof. Dr. Rüstem Aslan, head of Alexandria Troas ancient ciy digging Doç. Dr. Erkan Öztepe, head of Parion ancient city digging Prof. Dr. Vedat Keleş, deputy head of Assoss ancient city digging Caner Bakan and head of Apollon Smintheus holy area digging Prof. Dr. Coşkun Özgünel tanked to İÇDAŞ for itssupport and mentioned that fort he first time a private sector member has supported 5 ancient city digging activities.
At the program where head of General Directorate of Museums and Cultural goods Köksal Özköklü was present, İÇDAŞ AŞ. Social Responsibilities Director Suat Karataş said that , İÇDAŞ started to sponsorship at 2008 withParion ancient city digging. Today being only main supporter of world-wide 5 big diggings of our country we fulfil our social resposibility duty. We nowgive our support fort he Alexandria Troas ancient city diggings after our support for Apollon Smintheon holy area in 2011, Troy ancient city in 2015 and Assoss ancient city in 2016. We signed our name as one and only sponsor of Alexandria Troas ancient city a few months ago.
A Special Route for Handicapped
İÇDAŞ AŞ. Social Responsibilities Director Suat Karataş mentioned that a special route will be prepared at Troy ancient city in 2018 with the support of İÇDAŞ for the handicapped to travel the historical place. He also mentioned that the ruined school building at Kemer village will be done Culture House at Parion ancient city and a ruined olive oil factory will be done Olive oil Museum at Apollon Smintheion.
İÇDAŞ AŞ. Social Responsibilities Director Suat Karataş emphasised the importance of ‘young Archeologs’ social responsibility Project ongoing at historical digging areas and said : ‘ we aim to stakea claim on Turkey’s cultural heritage. We send worker, Crane and dozer when needed. We prepare huge cages to protect historical places. We support the preparation and publishing of scientific publications about digging areas. We prepare documentaries and apply projects to develop interest and sensitivity about historical places on children and youth. ‘ young Archeologs Social Responsibility Project’ and ‘ Ceramic Application With Children at Historical Places’ are prominent social responsibility executions in Turkey.
